Zondag 21 maart is de Internationale Dag tegen Racisme. Op 21 maart 1960 opende de politie het vuur op anti-apartheidsdemonstranten in Sharpeville en richtte een bloedbad aan. Sinds 1966 zijn er op 21 maart wereldwijd demonstraties tegen racisme. Deze protesten worden georganiseerd door het Comité

Het afgelopen jaar was een belangrijk jaar: tienduizenden mensen sloten aan bij de Black Lives Matter protesten en duizenden gingen de straat op in solidariteit met de vluchtelingen in Moria.

Op 21 maart zullen we hier mee verder gaan. In Nederland is opgeroepen tot een ministerie voor etnische zuivering van moslims. Antisemitische complottheorieën krijgen vrij spel binnen. Institutioneel racisme is orde van de dag met de belastingdienst en de toeslagen affaire, politie, politiek, werkgevers en scholen.

Daarom worden op 21 Maart verschillende acties, stilstaande protesten, en lawaaiprotesten door heel Nederland georganiseerd. Het grootste protest zal in Amsterdam zijn. Hier is DWARS ook bij. Sluit je aan bij DWARS en kom in actie!

Last year was an important year: tens of thousands of people joined the Black Lives Matter protests and thousands took it to the streets in solidarity with the refugees in Moria.

On March 21st, we will continue to do so. In the Netherlands, there have been calls for a ministry of ethnic cleansing for Muslims. Anti-Semitic conspiracy theories are given free rein. Institutional racism is the order of the day with the tax system and the allowance affairs, police brutality, politics, employers and the school system.

That’s why on March 21st several actions, silent protests and noisier protests will be organised throughout the Netherlands. The biggest protest will be in Amsterdam. DWARS will be there too. Join DWARS and take action!
