Are you international and curious about us?

Hi! Welcome to DWARS Amsterdam! Are you interested in our movement and do you want to see if DWARS is for you? We organise a large variety of activities where it’s easy to join as someone who isn’t a member (yet). A few times a year we also organise a new-membersevening, but that isn’t something you have to wait for. The rest of the time we have loads of fun and interesting activities planned! Have a peek at our agenda to see if there’s anything interesting for you!

It’s one of our primary goals to have DWARS Noord-Holland – Flevoland be as accessible as possible to all youth, even if you don’t speak Dutch, so that anyone and everyone can join our fight for a greener and more equitable Noord-Holland and Flevoland and a greener and more equitable world. Want to drop by one of our Dutch events or actions? We’ll help you translate!

About us

What is DWARS?

DWARS, GroenLinkse Jongeren is the Dutch independent political youth organisation affiliated with GroenLinks. GroenLinks (“GreenLeft”) is the green party in the Netherlands. We believe in a green, social and free society for everyone. The objective of our organisation is to familiarise young people with politics in a fun and engaging way. Furthermore, we try to influence Dutch politics through our contact with Groenlinks, the media and political actions. The national board is located in the DWARS office in Utrecht, at St. Jacobsstraat 12.

What is DWARS Noord-Holland – Flevoland?

DWARS Noord-Holland – Flevoland is the biggest department of DWARS. It is the youth political organisation representing youth of all stripes and colours within both the green and left movements of provinces of Noord-Holland and Flevoland. Have your voice be heard through our actions and campaigns, or find a new home at our various activities, meet-ups and borrels. On this website you can find more info about our board, committees and regional groups as well as our agenda and contact details!

Do you want to check us out?

Do you just want to check us out and get a taste of our atmosphere? Come to one of our activities! Or once in a while we organise new-membersevening for people to get to know DWARS. During these activities you’ll experience DWARS firsthand, and get to know a whole lot of new people!

Then become a member of DWARS! The form is only available in Dutch, feel free to contact us for help. You can also become active in our committees (we have 5!), or maybe even join the board at some point.
