Hi everyone!
My name is Abel, and in the coming year I will be taking on the role of chairperson for our department. After being involved in other parts of DWARS for a while it’s now time for the next step!
Although I’m originally from Brabant, I am currently studying Public Administration at Radboud University (which is in Gelderland). I hope to complete my studies this coming year! Besides studying and participating in DWARS activities, I spend my time bouldering and playing guitar when I have some free time.
In the coming year, I hope to keep the Gelderland department active together with my board by organizing lots of fun activities! I’m also looking forward to keeping track of the political developments in Gelderland, which, as you probably expect from a DWARS member, is a big hobby of mine!
I’m excited for a fun year and hope to meet many of you at our upcoming activities!

Hi, my name is Sami, I’m 28 years old and I am living in Nijmegen, where I was born and raised. In the coming year, I will be joining Dwars Gelderland as a general board member, and I will specifically be focusing on the political aspect of the association.
In my daily life, I work at the Province of Gelderland as a policy officer, with regard to nitrogen. In my free time I enjoy reading, camping, sports, and many other hobbies.

Hello!
I am Brenda and I am the secretary in the current board. I have only recently become a member of DWARS and many of you might not know me yet, giving me even more reason to introduce myself!
I am 22 years old and I am originally from a little town called Dinxperlo, which is near the German border. Nowadays, I am working and studying in Wageningen, where I just finished the bachelor International Development. I will be continuing my studies with a master in the same field. My political interests are originated in my studies, especially with regards to international topics. Besides DWARS and my studies I am working part-time at a supermarket, but in my spare time I enjoy cooking and napping 🙂
I am looking forward to a very active year in which I can get to know many of you and in which we can share a lot of political knowledge.

Hey everyone,
My name is Lucas, I am 23 years old and I am your treasurer this year. I am currently living in Molenhoek, but am in the process of moving to the beautiful Nijmegen. I am in the end-stage of the studies Business Administration in Nijmegen and will start working once I have finished it. In my spare time I enjoy running, gaming, and I am interested in history and politics.
At the beginning of this year, I became a member of DWARS and immediately really liked the association. I wanted to become more involved, which is why I decided to join the board. As treasurer, I hope to support the department in all our activities, and hopefully even more.
I am looking forward to meet everyone and I hope we can have another great year together!

Hi,
I am Mads (he/him), 17 years old and I live in Wageningen. This year I am general board member regarding activism and activities. I am in the last year of high school at a small democratic school in Driel. Besides school I like bouldering, horseback riding, and I am also part of the youth council in Wageningen.
As a board member I wish to contribute to a more activism-oriented Gelderland and I would like to organize a lot of fun and educational activities. I think it is important to make room for the voices of young people within the province and muncipality, which is something I want to put a lot of effort into during my board year.

Hi there!
I’m Anne Jip, but you can call me AJ. I’m 5 years old, making me the youngest DWARS member in all of the Netherlands. I don’t have a fixed place to live, because I love staying with all the board members of DWARS Gelderland. Since I’m so soft and fluffy, my main task on the board is to be a pillow, a cuddle buddy, and something to hold onto tightly when my dear board members are having a tough time. Wherever the board is, I am too.
