Vacancy Chairman Political Committee 2025

As a member of DWARS, would you like to become even more committed to DWARS Brabant-Zeeland? Do you have leadership qualities? Then perhaps the chair of the political committee is for you!

What does the politics committee do?

The politics committee keeps a sharp eye on local politics and capitalises on it, for example by writing and publishing opinion pieces or taking a public action. Whether they are new developments or topics that have been around for some time in municipalities or provinces, the politics committee dives in and ensures that important issues get attention!

In addition, the politics committee regularly attends training courses from DWARS academy on various topics such as media training or debate training so that we are always well prepared.

What does the chairman do?

As chairman, you are the face and point of contact of the politics committee. You prepare the agendas and lead the meetings. You also coordinate the committee's activities and liaise with local political groups and news sites or newspapers if necessary. As chairman, you guide your fellow committee members in writing and organising these documents and activities. You keep the overview and ensure that everything runs smoothly within the committee.

Chairing the politics committee is a perfect opportunity to boost your personal development and deepen your knowledge of local politics. Also, as chairman, you will build a network with various political groups, politicians, and journalists. This position will require about 4 hours a week of your time.
