Come to Arnhem on 4 April for the theme evening organised by the DWARS Economics Committee and DWARS Arnhem-Nijmegen. During this theme evening, we will look at social security in the Netherlands and take a closer look at welfare in particular. What are the problems involved? To what extent is there a poverty trap if you find (part-time) work from welfare? What kind of social problems do you run into while on welfare? Are the conditions attached to welfare fair?
These kinds of questions will all be addressed during this evening and at the same time solutions will be considered, such as basic income or basic jobs.
