DWARS Leiden-Haaglanden speaks out against 'Flex addiction'

07 October 2017

Young people from the local DWARS division Leiden-Haaglanden are speaking out against the 'flex addiction' that seems to be prevalent among employers. This let chairman Isabel Bos know today, on World Day for Decent Work. Together with Young & United and other organisations, the GroenLinkse young people are fighting for more permanent contracts for young people.

'Right now, there is a lot of uncertainty for young people in the labour market,' Bos says. 'They find it hard to get a permanent contract and are therefore forced into flex or on-call contracts. Thereby, they do not know how much they can work and how much they will earn per month. This makes it difficult for them to build a future and make an independent living

DWARS Leiden-Haaglanden calls on all its members and sympathisers to join the fight against flex addiction and sign the petition. Join us via: https://www.youngandunited.nl/wtflex/
