Vacancy of secretary Economy Committee

The Economy Committee is looking for a secretary!

What does the Economy Committee do?

The committee talks about economic issues. For example, we deal with current affairs. We also learn more together about topics such as circular economy, welfare and wealth inequality and talk about the DWARSe positions. We also sometimes organise activities. Before the meetings, we eat together at DWARS's expense. Travel expenses to the meeting can be claimed.

What does the secretary do?

The secretary takes minutes of the meetings. The secretary also helps the chairman organise activities and lead the committee. The secretary does this, for example, by approaching speakers or keeping track of the mail. Together with the chairman, the secretary ensures that the committee runs smoothly and has a good atmosphere. The secretary also attends the Political Consultation, which is a consultation between all substantive committees.

In the week of an activity or meeting, this function takes more time, but less in other weeks. You will also be working on it mostly in the evening, as that is when the meetings and activities are. You will spend about 2 hours a week on it.

Who are you?

As secretary, it is important to want to learn or be able to do the following:

  • organising activities and meetings
  • are interested in topics related to the economy
  • communicate well

Even if you can't do this yet, that's not a problem. The important thing is that you are eager to learn and enthusiastic!
