Vacancy chairman Congress Committee

The Congress committee is looking for a chairperson!

What does the Congress committee do?

The Congress Committee obviously organises the congress and the DWARS National Board. This includes making a script, asking speakers, finding locations and thinking about how best to organise the congress. The committee meets once every fortnight and every week as the congress approaches. Before the meetings, we eat together at DWARS's expense. Travel expenses to the meeting can be claimed via the claim form on the website.

What does the chairman do?

The chairperson creates the agenda and leads the meetings. The chair also enthuses the members of Congress Committee. The chairman provides the overview of the organisation of the congress.

In the week of a meeting and in the week of the congress, this job takes more time and in other weeks less. Also, you are mostly working on it in the evening.

You spend about 6 hours a week on it.

Who are you?

As chairman, it is important to be able or willing to learn the following:

  • organising activities and meetings
  • coming up with ideas for the congress or supporting the committee in this
  • communicate well
  • diary
  • learn new things
  • having contact with different people
  • teamwork

Even if you can't do this yet, that's not a bad thing. The important thing is that you are eager to learn.
