Who are the board members of DWARS?
As a national board member of DWARS, preferably you already have some experience within DWARS. You have a good sense of what you think DWARS is about. You do not have to agree with every word in the political programme, but you do share DWARS's green, left-wing, liberal ideals. You also enjoy participating in various DWARS activities and are open to direct contact with members. You can organise well or want to learn to do so, and enjoy taking on different things. As a member of the board, you will sometimes have to pick up things that are not necessarily in your job description. Think, for example, of locking up the building after the last committees have left, helping out at information fairs, or participating in and preparing for board meetings. As a DWARS board member, in addition to your job-specific duties, you spend much of your time on such general board tasks. As a DWARS board member, you always guard the DWARSe code of conduct.
Who are you?
As a board member of DWARS, you are an enthusiastic force we can count on. Someone who is passionate about working towards a greener, more social, more inclusive Netherlands. You also feel like making DWARS always a little better in the position you are applying for. It doesn't matter if you don't yet know exactly how you will tackle everything in your year on the board. After all, this is the place to learn that! When you apply, we therefore expect you to be eager to learn. You are also critical of decisions and open to criticism from others, but always remain open, honest and positive. It helps if you are good at communicating with the association and your board. Lastly, DWARS board members must be good at planning, or want to learn that quickly. Does this sound like you could be? Then check out the vacancies via the links below!

How to proceed now?
If you apply, you will first talk to the candidates' committee. They will do their best to get to know you and see why you would be an asset to the next DWARS board. For candidates running for president, the standard procedure is two interviews with the candidate committee. They then write a recommendation to the congress. Your candidacy remains completely secret until the publication of this advice and you can withdraw yourself at any time. At the summer congress of 12 and 13 June, with a proposal piece in the congress paper and a short speech, you may introduce yourself to the congress and the congress will vote on the members of the next board. The next DWARS board will be in office from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022.
Note: When you apply you will be sent a few relevant dates that are important for the transfer, keep these days free.
Note II: Do you like multiple positions? Then you can request an interview with the search committee to see which position suits you best. Do you still want to apply for several positions? You can! Then you will be interviewed for each position. You can only apply for one position at the congress, so you have to make a choice before the congress. The candidates' committee will be happy to help you with this.
