Political programme

The political programme contains the content line that DWARS follows. It says what we think about all kinds of issues. It is a kind of election programme. Every topic is therefore covered: from education to care, from housing to nature, from Europe to the climate.

The current political programme of DWARS is called 'The future is now' and was adopted in its entirety at the 2024 programme congress. At each congress, members can submit amendments. In this programme, the chapters are based on themes we want to work on as DWARS. The points in the programme are derived from our core values and ideals. In each chapter, we identify problems, present our ideals and offer concrete solutions. Reading the table of contents, it is immediately clear what DWARS stands for: a sustainable and secure basis of existence, rich nature, equitable governance and opportunities for personal development. This is what we want on a national and international level.

Earlier versions

DWARS's political programme is completely revamped once every few years. A programme committee goes on to write a draft programme based on input from the association and at a programme congress, the programme is approved. Below you can read the earlier versions - 'Daring to Share Sustainably' (2020-2024) and 'Honestly lasts the longest' (2017-2020) - of DWARS's political programme.
