Organisational committees

DWARS has organisational committees. They all do different things for the association. Unlike our substantive committees, the main focus is on organising events, trainings or actions.

Get involved!

How you can participate varies from committee to committee. To some committees you can send an e-mail to attend a meeting. For most committees, a vacancy comes online every year.

Check out the page of the committee that appeals to you and feel free to send an email for more information.

The committees

Activities
At DWARS, not only politically substantive activities are organised, but also fun activities and educational activities! For example, the Activities committee e.g. summer camp, gala and DWARSxl.

Campaign
Almost every year there are elections in the Netherlands. Whether it is for the Lower House, the European Parliament or locally in the province, municipality or water boards: there is always a campaign to set up. The Campaign committee goes to work promoting themes that concern young people. They devise the campaign strategy to make the DWARSe ideals visible.

Congress
The congress is the main body of DWARS. The Congressional committee is responsible for organising it. They choose the venue for the congress and they make sure that everything important for the congress is arranged, such as drawing up a good programme and arranging venues.

International Activities
DWARS also organises several trips abroad. For instance, we go to Brussels every year, organise a longer international trip, and there are sometimes international conferences. The International Activities Committee is helping the committee organise it.

DIRT (DWARS International Representatives Team)
DIRT is a committee for delegates from DWARS to international conferences and events. Its purpose is to coordinate who goes to these conferences and events. The spoken language in this committee is English.
