DWARS hands over Refugee Manifesto

18 May 2019

Refugees are welcome. With the Young Democrats (D66), PerspectieF (ChristenUnie), and the Young Socialists (PvdA), we agreed that we should at least ensure good safe escape routes to Europe. No longer the images of refugees drowning on the Mediterranean Sea. We need to take in refugees with all member states, and not shift responsibility to southern member states. Finally, deals like the deal with Turkey should no longer be made, because then the safety of refugees cannot be sufficiently guaranteed. We handed this manifesto over last Tuesday to Tineke Strik, number 2 on GroenLinks's list for the European elections. It is time for Europe to take its responsibility!

Remco, International Secretary of DWARS, hands over the manifesto to Tineke Strik
