DWARS and JS quit X

From today, DWARS and the Young Socialists (JS) will stop using X. Meanwhile, X has become nothing more than a platform of the far-right to spread their hate-mongering ideology. For instance, fascist politicians such as Alice Weidel, Donald Trump and Tommy Robinson are openly embraced by tech oligarch and X owner Elon Musk. At the same time, we see dissent being 'shadowbanned' and disappearing into the background. These kinds of social media platforms pose a danger to our democracy. Extreme right-wing and foreign interference are increasing, as is Elon Musk's influence. By continuing to actively use X, we legitimise Elon Musk and his influence only grows. For DWARS and the JS, this is unacceptable.

We also call on GroenLinks-PvdA and its politicians to stop using X. X is a danger that needs to be addressed. We must together form a fist against the techoligarchy to counter this sliding scale of hate speech and incitement. Only then can we continue to protect our democracy and rule of law.
