Vacancy Member Activities Committee

The Activities Committee is looking for members!

What does the Activities Committee do?

The Activities Committee organises various activities and supports the board. Examples include the Summer Camp, the gala and DWARS Got Talent. The activities organised are mainly educational, or simply very enjoyable! To organise this, the Activities Committee meets about once every two or three weeks. Before the meetings, we eat together at the expense of DWARS. Travel expenses to the meeting can be claimed via the claim form on the website.

What do you do as a member of the committee?

As a member of the Activities Committee, you will actively think about the activities during the meetings. These take place about once every three weeks. You can also work for the committee between meetings. For example, picking an event location, coming up with political activities or approaching a speaker.

The Activities Committee is the place where you can unleash all your creative excesses. By contributing ideas during a brainstorming session, for example. You also often have a role in the organisation during activities.

In the week of an activity or meeting, this function takes more time, but less in other weeks. You will also be working on it mostly in the evening, as that is when the meetings and activities are. You will spend about 2 hours a week on it.

Who are you?

As a committee member, it is important to be able or willing to learn the following:

  • Organising activities
  • Coming up with ideas for activities
  • Communicating well
  • Collaborate

If you can't do this yet, it's no big deal. The important thing is that you are eager to learn. Besides, you will join a committee that likes to help each other!

Are you interested?

Would you like to join the committee? Then send in your application no later than 16 September An e-mail with a short motivation to luc@dwars.org  He will then contact you as soon as possible.
