Working groups
Working groups are one of the many places where you can be active at DWARS. Working groups are a very free way for members to organise themselves within the association. A working group decides for itself what it wants to do and how it wants to do it.
Working group 1TP3 Orchestra
The DWARSorkest working group includes DWARSe musicians who would like to make and perform music together. We do not have a fixed rehearsal day for now, but rehearse several times before a performance. Anyone who plays an instrument is welcome, we will do our best to adapt parts where necessary. If you are interested in joining the DWARSorchestra, sign up via this registration form or send an e-mail to dwarsorkest@dwars.org including your instrument and possibly your phone number, and we will contact you!
Book club working group (DWARSliggers)
The DWARSliggers working group (5 points if you understand the name) includes all the bookworms from DWARS! We read a book about once a month/two months and then get together to chat about it. We read fiction, non-fiction, literature, philosophy and much more. Even if you want to pick up reading you are more than welcome to join, we always make sure the books we read are accessible to everyone! So do you now have a huge passion for books or just want to pick up reading a bit again? For more information, if you just want to join or to sign up straight away, send an email to dwarsliggers@dwars.org Or send an app to Pieter-Matthias (06-81114234)!
Political Philosophy Working Group (Poffie)
The Political Philosophy working group includes DWARSers interested in political philosophy. We meet every month in changing locations and discuss a variety of topics such as Liberalism, Emancipation, Pacifism, Nature and Altruism. In doing so, we often highlight one or more philosophical theories and apply them to contemporary politics. We often start with some questions or dilemmas, and then usually culminate in an open conversation. Sounds very intellectual all round, but it's actually quite sociable. So if you are interested in politics and philosophy, do come along! For more information, or if you want to come and watch, send an e-mail to contact person Jeppe via working group.poffie@dwars.org.
