Activities committee

The Activities Committee organises various activities and supports the board. These include social activities such as the summer camp, DWARS got talent, and the gala. The committee also organises educational activities to ensure education within DWARS. To organise this, the Activities Committee meets about once every two or three weeks.

The Activities Committee is a collaboration of two committees we previously had at DWARS: the Training Committee (this committee took care of training within DWARS and workshops) and the Special Activities Committee (this committee took care of special activities such as the summer camp and DWARS got talent) This has now been merged into one committee.

Summer camp

Every year, DWARS goes on a summer camp. At the end of the summer, the Activities Committee organises the camp together with the board. Many fun activities are organised during this weekend: a fox hunt, morning gymnastics, and of course a bonfire night!

The activities committee helps come up with the programme and carry it out during the weekend, and they also help with preparation by picking a venue and thinking about shopping.

Gala

Traditionally, we usher in the year at the DWARS gala. Put on your best outfit and bid on the various auction items, after which the proceeds go to charity.

The activities committee will help choose a venue, decorate the gala and think about which charity we want to support. A nice playlist also needs to be made, of course; the committee can help with that too.
