Sign up for the autumn conference
20 September 2016The programme congress has not yet ended and another DWARS congress is already around the corner, namely the autumn congress 2016. This will be held on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 October in Breda. The congress is DWARS's general membership meeting, but instead of a boring meeting, it is DWARS's tradition to combine this meeting over a whole weekend with fun speakers and workshops on politics and, of course, the legendary congress party.
Programme
The programme at the autumn congress includes the election of the new board. This year, we will elect some new board positions for the first time. Furthermore, the budget and policy plan for the coming year will be discussed and a vision paper on family law will be discussed.
In terms of content, the congress will focus on the Lower House elections in March next year. We will look ahead to the result of GroenLinks during these elections, but we will also take a substantive look at what should happen in the Netherlands after the elections. Of course, we will do this with a number of GroenLinksers and we can already reveal that the list leader of another party will also be present.
Conference papers
You can still submit pieces for the conference reader until next Friday. The deadline for pieces in the daily newspaper is Friday, 14 October. And of course you can submit motions until the congress itself. Submit documents by sending an e-mail to secretaris@dwars.org. There will be a proposed amendment to the By-Laws at the congress. This proposal can be found on the right at this page.
You can now here sign up for the conference. You can sign up for either one day or the whole weekend. 10 October is registration deadline for sleeping places and 14 October for dinner. Prior to the congress, there will be a congress training on Saturday 23 October. This training will explain the proceedings of a DWARS congress. You can register for this meeting by indicating this on the registration form or by emailing to secretaris@dwars.org.
