Vacancy chairperson DIRT (DWARS International Representatives Team)
Are you interested in international events or conferences? Do you want to learn to chair a team? Apply to be DIRT’s new chairperson!
What does DIRT do?
DIRT (DWARS International Representatives Team) is a committee for delegates from DWARS to international conferences and events. The goal of this committee is to coordinate who goes to international conferences and events, for example events organised by the Federation of Young European Greens (FYEG), of which we are a member organisation.
DIRT delegations may consist not only of attending but also (solely) the preparation of political content, such as the General Assembly of the Federation of the Young European Greens.
DIRT is a relatively new committee. There has not been a chairperson before, so you will be able to shape your role.
What does the chairperson do?
The chairperson coordinates DIRT: who goes to what international events and when, in cooperation with the board member political contacts of DWARS. You are responsible for keeping oversight and for making members enthusiastic. As a chairperson, you are also responsible for keeping a good atmosphere within the committee. The chairperson is the main contact between DIRT and the board of DWARS. You will also work closely together with the board and members of DIRT to prepare the General Assembly of the by the Federation of Young European Greens (FYEG), which is in May 2023.
The board member for political contacts (Elise) still has the final responsibility for the contact with international organisations such as FYEG and any delegations of DWARS to international events. The board member for political content (Esmay) will still be responsible for political content.
Who are you?
As chairperson it is important you can, or are willing to learn:
- Affinity with international and European politics and themes;
- To be able to delegate and to lead a team, while keeping an oversight;
- To communicate well;
- To be able to be independent and pro-active;
- Be able to speak and understand English (at least at B1, but no proof will be asked), because the language in DIRT is English.
