New transgender law is here for all

The new transgender bill is being debated in the House of Representatives. If passed, this bill will make it easier to change the mention of gender on birth certificates. A good thing, we say. On this topic, chairman Gijs gave an interview to SVJ media of the School of Journalism.

The new law will continue to be debated in the House of Representatives in February. But what happens in the meantime? We will discuss this on 2 December together with the Young Socialists (young people of the Labour Party). More information can be found at here!

In the Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament, the new transgender law is being discussed. If this bill is passed, it will be easier to change the gender designation on a birth certificate.
