New committees!
06 January 2020We noticed for a while that the three (old) committees: the debate committee, the walking committee and the film committee were not showing very much activity. To solve this, we decided at a members' meeting a while back to merge these three committees into one: the events committee. Together with the action committee, that means we now have two committees in our section instead of four.
In the broad sense, the aim of this committee is to organise events. Movie nights, debates, theme nights, drinks, or anything else: it's up to you as members to fill in. Of course, this does not mean that we as a board stop organising events. Now we only have the events committee there so that members can more easily organise something too. Interested in becoming active in this committee? Check the agenda for the next meeting of the events committee and the action committee!

We noticed that our three previously existing committees: the debatingco., the walkingco., and the filmco. left much to be desired on activity. To try and remedy this we decided on merging these three committees into one. The event committee. Together with the actionco. this means we have reduced the number of committees from four to two.
The aims of this new committee pretty much comes down to organising events. Film night's, debates, theme nights, a drink at the pub, o something totally different: it's up to you as members to decide on what to organise. This of course doesn't mean that we're handing over all the responsibility for events from the board to the committee. Now we've just created a centralised committee to add on to the event we're organising ourselves but then decided on and carried out by members. If you're interested in becoming active for our newly formed committee, join-in at the next meeting for the event co. or action co.
