City council politics workshop and movie night great success

Last Wednesday was the local council politics workshop, given by Judith Bokhove (GL Rotterdam group chair). She told us all kinds of things about how the city council works and how it is put together. We also had a tour of the beautiful city hall and got to work ourselves with a current case from the city council. After the workshop, we all had a drink together.

On Thursday, September 8, we watched film with a large group. Dion had picked several documentaries for us and in the end we decided on “Requiem for the American Dream” while enjoying a drink and some goodies. We talked about this interesting documentary for a long time and, as Dion found many other interesting documentaries, there will probably be a sequel.
