Campaign update #2: What can you do to influence the campaign?

07 March 2021

Writer: Margo Mustert

It is high time for an update from the Campaign Committee!

...Because the elections are coming sooner than you think, just less than two weeks away!

Do you also feel the need for political change? Are you done with this right-wing in power? Spending nine times more money on motorways than on ov, social inequality in all seams of society, with the bonus: housing shortage...

We feel the need! That is why we are doing our best from this committee.

Do you also have great ideas and want to get involved in convincing people to vote GroenLinks in this bizarre online year? Get in touch! Get involved in the activities, write to friends and grandparents about why they too can get involved. Send us a message if you have some spare time to get involved in the campaign, for example, you can still deliver cards outside or help with content creation. All your ideas are welcome.

We organise 2 Political Cafés: Wednesday 24 February there was an event on racism and on 9 March there is a activity on a fair start. During these events, you can meet some candidates and get views or inspiration on GroenLinkse topics.

You can apply as DWARSe Apptivist! Nothing goes, everything goes. Here you will find support and ideas to convince the world to vote green together.

We have creative tasks for you from DWARS Nationwide. There are three questions during the election period; question 1 ran until 14 March, and question 2 ran until the end of February. So you still have a chance to participate with the last question!

➢ 1 to 14 March: What does climate justice mean to you?

Furthermore, we have a meme collective (!) founded within DWARS Amsterdam. You will see some of the memes coming along. If you also have fun ideas for memes, app one of us or mail to amsterdam@dwars.org.

Additional actions:

  • Coming soon WhatsApp message which anyone can easily forward to extend reach.
  • We also have a pavement chalk action coming up and want to see slogans on cardboard.
  • Keep our social media in and share things especially! Thanks for all your likes
  • 14 March will see another Climate March to: put it in your diary and start thinking about slogans you want to represent.

Be sure to drop by during the meetings too. Super casual to bring in what you want.

Wishing everyone an active next few days!
