Sign up for the Campaign Committee!
11 October 2020DWARS Amsterdam is looking for a new Campaign Committee! This team of up to eight people will deal with the elections to the House of Representatives in March 2021. Municipal elections are also coming up in 2022. The Campaign Committee thinks about its own strategy during campaign time. It creates both digital and physical promotional material (such as videos and flyers) and devises actions. For example, to support young people on the list, to draw extra attention to youth themes and other important issues or to call on young people to go to the ballot box.
The committee will meet once every two to three weeks. As elections approach, the number of meetings will increase to one a week.
Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic to invest time, help make GroenLinks the biggest in the elections and make our DWARSe sound heard!
You will also work with the following skills as a committee member:
- Organisational and political acumen
- Creativity in devising and organising campaign actions
- Street or internet communication
- Text writing and image editing
Enthusiasm and commitment are most important! DWARS is the ideal place to learn skills and meet other political youth. You are welcome with all your own experiences and backgrounds.
The position of chair is also open: in your letter, let us know if you are applying to be chair of the committee and why. Important tasks here include liaising with others inside and outside the department. You will also be responsible for keeping an overview of the committee's planning and activities.
We think the time investment in the beginning will be about 5 hours a week. As the elections get closer, this will increase to 10 hours per week. For the chairman, the time investment will be about 2 hours a week higher. Are you interested in this great opportunity to fight for your ideals and gain great experience? Send a motivation to zoekcommissie.amsterdam@dwars.org! You can also use this mail address if you have any questions. So sign up soon! You will then be contacted by the Search Committee and the departmental board.
