The board briefly introduces itself...
14 October 2017Meanwhile, the new board has been in place for almost a month, but still the board members would like to introduce themselves to you....
Adine Teillers - chairman: Since September 2017, I have been chairman of DWARS Amsterdam. I represent DWARS Amsterdam to the outside world and otherwise I make sure everything runs smoothly within the department. I think it is important that we are a fun, friendly, green and transverse department and I try to put as much effort into this as possible.
Chris van Kalkeren - secretary: I am the secretary of DWARS Amsterdam, which mainly means I spend a lot of time behind my computer! My responsibilities include membership administration, taking minutes at meetings and writing the fortnightly newsletter. I am also co-responsible for DWARS Amsterdam's social media accounts and website.
Fabrice Kanounji - treasurer: As treasurer of DWARS Amsterdam, my main task is of course to take care of the finances, but the responsibilities of a treasurer do not end there. Together with the other board members, I am committed to organising fun and interesting events. In addition, as chairman of the Actions & Campaigns Committee, I expose local problems through playful actions. But of course none of this is possible without enthusiastic and motivated members, something DWARS Amsterdam has no shortage of!
Fatin Bouali - general board member and vice-chairman: I have been vice-chair and general board member of DWARS Amsterdam since September 2017. I support the chair Adine in various ways and I mainly work on the diversity of DWARS including with the diversity committee.
Marius Nijenhuis - general board member: I have been strengthening the board of DWARS Amsterdam since September 2016 - currently as a general board member, previously as secretary. This board term, I am particularly concerned with the election campaign for the 2018 municipal elections. In addition, as the longest-serving board member, I am keeping the rest of the board in line a bit. See you at the department!
