On Sunday 9 February, PvdA Den Haag, in cooperation with JS DenHaag-Leiden and DWARS Leiden-Haaglanden, is organising a Café Rood with the topic: Answer divisions!

Polarisation was the word of the year 2024. It says a lot about the interrelationships in our society. Geopolitical tensions have a polarising effect in our society, as do expressions of the current administration. Think of statements by political leaders talking about a "failed integration". For social media, division and thus polarisation is even a business model.

On Sunday 9 February, we will engage with good speakers, namely: Michiel Servaes (Oxfam Novib), Mikal Tseggai and Anna Koolstra. In addition, other well-known people will be present, including Marianne van Praag.

With Kido Koenig (Max van der Stoel Foundation) as chairman of the day, it will be a fascinating afternoon, where discussion about our society will be central. Together, we hope to find answers and connection in order to take action against a divided (local) society on a sound basis. We need each other and therefore we look forward to seeing you there!
