Theme excursion Delfzijl: shrinkage!

On Friday afternoon, 12 October, the first activity organised by the Great Activities Committee will take place. We will discover that there is something better than Groningen after all, because we will all go on an excursion to Delfzijl! The theme of this activity will be shrinkage, a problem facing many municipalities in the north. We will first be received at the town hall by Tim Haan, councillor for GroenLinks, and have a conversation with him about the issue. We will then be shown around Delfzijl to see what consequences shrinkage and policies to counter it have on the city. Afterwards, there will in all likelihood be time for a Friday afternoon drink!
In short, it promises to be a very interesting and enjoyable afternoon, so mark the date in your diary. We will gather at 13:10 in the station hall at the Hoofdstation in Groningen!
