Protest: students are not cash cows!

Students are not dairy cows! ❌?

Next Friday, we will take action. You too? Because D66 minister Van Engelshoven has decided that students will have to pay more interest on their student loans. This could cost 5000 euros (!) on top of your study debt. And this only because the minister cannot get her budget through.

We will not put up with this. Students are not the government's cash cows. The minister should first make sure that the money she promised to invest in the quality of education is actually used for that purpose. Students are under increasing pressure to complete their studies quickly, and higher interest rates increase the workload even more. The consequences are becoming increasingly clear: a quarter of students struggle with burn-out complaints.

Students are no longer putting up with this! We are not the government's cash cows. We call for a protest: come to Amsterdam on Friday, bring your cow suit and make yourself heard! ?

Would you like to travel with other DWARSers to Amsterdam? We will gather at 11:00 on platform 2b at Groningen Hoofdstation. Travel expenses can be claimed.
