Missing Maps

On 8 March, we will jointly contribute to mapping vulnerable areas in developing countries! We will do so by contributing to the Missing Maps project, which will digitally draw buildings and roads on satellite images. These maps are used by NGOs such as the Red Cross, among others, to provide appropriate assistance in a crisis.

The evening will start with background information and explanations, after which we will work together. Prior knowledge is not necessary! A laptop is, but if you don't have one we can provide one. Just let us know when you register. A computer mouse works better than a trackpad, so we recommend bringing one.
