Will you help make the city a little greener? We will be planting broad beans all over the city with as many people as possible!
The broad bean is an easy and primal plant. First the plant produces beautiful white flowers (yay bees!) and then delicious broad beans. This way, we brighten up bare, cluttered and vacant lots and in a few months' time, everyone will be able to harvest broad beans for free in the city. A kind of Guerrilla Gardening, in other words.
We start at 14:00 with a short instruction (don't worry, you don't need to have a green thumb, putting beans in the ground anyone can do). After that, we will head straight out to plant.
GroenLinks Groningen will provide plant-ready broad beans and the necessary gardening tools. After planting, everyone is welcome to finish with a nice hot plate of bean soup. Read here More on the event!
