On 20 March, of course, we all go to the ballot box to vote for the Provincial Council. However, in doing so, people sometimes forget that on 20 March there are also other elections taking place: the water board elections. Despite the fact that water boards are not very well known (and sexy), the 20 different water boards in the Netherlands make important decisions in areas such as climate adaptation and water management. So it is important to know exactly what the water boards do and why Water Natuurlijk (the party supported by GroenLinks, D66 and several environmental organisations) is invaluable within the water boards. So for anyone who thought they knew everything about Dutch politics, this is an absolute must!
During this evening, you will learn all kinds of things about the water boards. Of course, we will start with a small crash course for the laymen, after which we will delve deeper into the work done by Water Natuurlijk within the two water boards in Groningen. There will also be a speaker who will talk about climate adaptation.
So all come to the premises on 4 March. Walk-in is from 19:30 and we will start at 20:00. See you then!
