In Groningen, gas is extracted by NAM (ExxonMobil & Shell). This is a problem for both Groningen and the climate. In the summer of 2018, Code Red is organising announced civil disobedience in Groningen, and DWARS Groningen is of course participating! With Code Red, we want to support the resistance of the Groningers and 2018 is a crucial moment. A new gas decision is due by the end of November, and by taking action we want to help ensure that it announces the end of gas production in the Netherlands.
Join DWARS for the Third Action Conference on 27 January to help think about the action that will take place in the summer. At this action conference, we will meet active Groningers and people from Code Red. Among other things, we will listen and discuss possible actions against gas extraction there.
