Corona, corona, corona. You don't hear anything else in the news. That makes sense, the virus has a very big impact on our lives, very immediate, and far away. But there is a lot else important to talk about. Newspapers and other media (such as de Gelderlander or omroep Gelderland) are therefore looking for stories that are also important, and not (directly) related to the virus. So a great opportunity to tell our green, social, liberal story. Some of us also have time for that now.
That is why we want to give you the opportunity to write pieces for local media on behalf of DWARS Gelderland, together with the board. Think of a nice (online) local iniative you are working on, but it could also be opinion pieces. For instance, the cabinet wants to put the climate plans on hold, but the province has a lot of money in its coffers for these plans; or how the housing crisis among students in Nijmegen is worsening because of Corona, or something not directly related to the virus such as the situation surrounding the refugees on Lesbos and what Gelderland municipalities should do about it.
