The PolCo needs your help. Due to the corona virus, the work of the political committee (PolCo) stalled for a while, but now that there is a little more clarity, the work continues again. Still, writing for and ratifying a Gelderland political programme at the upcoming General Assembly (AAV) is the PolCo's current goal. The various topics are divided between Janno, Marnix, Meryn, Sander and Joost. DWARS thinks diversity and inclusion are very important. Therefore, we would rather not have a political programme written by a fairly white committee with no women, and have need your input.
In the coming weeks, we are going to finalise the shape of the programme so that we can discuss it in detail with you at the AAV. For this, we are going to organise three input evenings, where we want to hear what matters to you. On 11 April at 20:00, there will be the first, green evening on the Discord server, during which we would like to hear what you think is important for sustainability, public transport & mobility and housing in Gelderland. The other evenings can be found below.
Based on your input, we will create draft political programme in the weeks following the input evenings. At the AAV in June (and at later AAVs) we can still adjust this via amendments and the AAV may then approve it, but of course we would much rather hear in advance what you think is important! We present: the DWARS Gelderland Discord Server
Since we cannot see each other directly due to social distance rules, until then we will do as much as possible on our Discord server! As long as the rules of the cabinet (and possibly if DWARS chooses to continue a bit longer for safety) moneys, there is something to do on that server every week. In succession, we always organise drinks, something social, and a politically substantive discussion (so that means a game night every three weeks). In addition, you may also just hanging out on the server. That way, we will stay connected as DWARSers in Gelderland. During events, you will be expected to be quiet, but we will create separate channels for this (so you can also just chat in one part of the server, while an event is going on in another part of the server).
How do I get to those server?
Two ways! If you are a member of the announcements WhatsApp group, then you don't have to do anything. We will send a link in the WhatsApp group before each digital activity that allows you to become a member. Should you still need help, we will indicate in that app group how to reach us.

But I don't know how Discord works/have never done it?
Inclusion is an important value for DWARS, we want everyone to participate, and that also means we want to help everyone get on our server. Therefore, we want to guarantee that everyone succeeds.
