We support the political youth of RED

Last week, the SP decided to cancel funding and other support for its youth organisation ROOD with immediate effect.

As a political youth organisation, we are shocked by the parent party's decision to drop its youth so harshly. In our opinion, this is not how a political party should treat its youth organisation. Young people who are members of the SP and ROOD should not bear the brunt of a conflict between two boards.

Political youth organisations represent the voice of young people within a political party and in society. Here, young people can develop politically and the political talent of the future is trained. Our independent position and fresh, critical eye are invaluable to parties in 'big people politics'.

Therefore, we stand in solidarity with the youth of ROOD who have been hit by this abuse of power by the SP. We hope the SP reverses its decision soon and resolves this conflict in another way.
