The campaign has begun!

Last weekend, we gave a festive kick-off to the campaign at the campaign kick-off! At the campaign kick-off, among others, Farah Karimi, number 2 of GroenLinks for the Upper House, and Katinka Eikelenboom, candidate party chairman of GroenLinks, spoke. Of course, our DWARSe candidates also spoke!

The upcoming elections are very important: this is GroenLinks's chance to ensure more greenery, clean air and better public transport in every province. In addition, the Provincial Council also elects the Upper House. The Upper House reviews the laws that have passed through the Lower House. Currently, the coalition of VVD, CDA, D66 and ChristenUnie still has the majority in the Upper House. This has allowed them to ensure that studying becomes more expensive, and too little is still being done to combat climate change. If the coalition loses their majority in the Senate, it will be a lot harder to implement their right-wing and grey measures: that is why it is hugely important that young people in particular vote in the Provincial Council elections!
