Sustainable future manifesto

22 February 2017

Together with Jan Terlouw and all political youth organisations, we were on De Wereld Draait Door today. There, we published our manifesto on a sustainable future. We all agree: sustainability must become one of the most important parts of the coalition agreement. We call for clear agreements to ensure that the Netherlands becomes a leader in combating climate change.

This means we will henceforth test all laws for their impact on the quality of the earth and take all measures necessary to comply with the Paris climate agreement. We will also make the playing field fairer for companies by making multinationals pay fair taxes.

What is unique about the manifesto is that it is so widely supported: from left to right on the political spectrum, all young people see the great importance of taking action against climate change now. So if it is up to young people, this will be the first thing on the table during the coalition agreement negotiations! Now read the substantive points from the manifesto.
