Become a mentor for a DWARS talent!
Welcome to the information page on mentoring a DWARS talent. On this page, you can read more about:
- The talent track DWARS Radical Talent,
- the role of a mentor,
- How to apply.
About the track
DWARS Radical Talent is the new name of the well-known talent programme DWARS On the Way. Participants receive four programme days of training in the areas of cooperation, organisation, planning & goal setting and achievement. The aim is to use this to train young talents for political and administrative positions. Such as the National Board of DWARS, a popular representative position, or a board position within or outside the party.
About the mentoring programme
Our participants are ambitious and driven. We therefore want to give them the best possible guidance. We have a strong network of trainers, but we also like to offer our participants a perspective from someone with more experience. Just think back: how much could you yourself have learned from someone in your position, as a young twenty-something?
What we expect from a mentor:
- Concrete time investment: 1 hour per week, + one day(part) for a follow-up day
- Available for two months (period June - early July) for the trainee to spar about ideals, certain issues from the track, career or other relevant questions.
- Willingness to let the trainee spend a day or part of a day in your work.
- A positive and coaching attitude.
- A healthy dose of humour and cheerfulness to build a good relationship with the trainee!
What do you get in return as a mentor:
- Connecting with the talents of the new generation,
- An enthusiastic mentee who brings new insights,
- A thank-you note at the end.
