Do you like debating and would you like to do so in the Lower House? Can you negotiate well and come up with creative compromises? Or would you like to learn how to do this? Then sign up for the PJO Parliament! As a DWARS team, you will discuss and reach agreements with young people from other PJOs (political youth organisations), such as the SGP-J of the SGP and the Jonge Democraten of D66. You will then get to debate these agreements in the plenary hall of the Lower House! Perhaps you will then sit in the chair of Esmah Lahlah or Jesse Klaver.

The track consists of five parts:

Preparation night 1:

February 26 18:30 to 21:30 - First meeting, introduction and debate training at the DWARS premises physically in Utrecht.

Preparation night 2:

6 March 18:30 to 21:30 - Second meeting and negotiation training at the DWARS premises physically in Utrecht.

Preparation night 3:

12 March 18:30 to 21:30 - Third meeting and preparing theses at the DWARS premises physically in Utrecht.

Preparation night 4:

March 24 18:30 to 21:30 - Fourth meeting and final preparations at the DWARS premises physically in Utrecht.

PJO Parliament:

March 26 Late afternoon and evening - Initial negotiations + Overnight stay in The Hague

March 27 Full day - Continued negotiations + Plenary debate + Dinner

Accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner are all provided by the organisation.

Selection process

We are looking for several people for our group. Both members with a lot of experience or little experience in debating and negotiating stand a chance. We are also looking for a group that is diverse in knowledge, education, place of residence, background and age.
