Are you passionate about international politics? DWARS is looking for new volunteers to join the DWARS International Representatives Team (DIRT). Together with the International board member, DIRT's presidency, and other team members, you will play a key role in preparing DWARS' participation in key international events.
DIRT is the committee responsible for representing DWARS at international conferences and events. The team coordinates which members attend international events (this will normally be the presidency), such as those organised by the Federation of Young European Greens (FYEG). In addition to sending delegates to events, DIRT also prepares political content, such as drafting resolutions and amendments for international discussions.
What's in it for you?
- Connect with like-minded young people from all over Europe while working on important political issues.
- Learn how to draft resolutions, amendments, and persuasive arguments for international discussions.
- Shape international politics: Gain experience in prioritising and addressing political topics on an international level.
- Contribute to the development and strengthening of Green Parties across Europe by collaborating on key political topics.
What do we expect from you?
- Active participation in meetings to strategize and plan for upcoming international events.
- Collaboration outside meetings, including drafting political content and communicating with other organisations.
- A commitment of a few hours per week, with increased activity around international events and lighter workloads in quieter periods.
Practical Details
The working language of DIRT is English to ensure accessibility for international members.
How do I join?
If you are excited to join DIRT, you can send an email to dirt@dwars.org before the 17th of February. In the email, please include a short motivation, explain how you think you can contribute, and mention what topics interest you. We will contact you as soon as possible.
