Vacature lid Demonstratiecommissie
The Demonstration Committee (DemonstraCie) is looking for members!
What does the Demonstration Committee do?
The Demonstration Committee supports the board by keeping track of when there are relevant protests and actions. Furthermore, the committee forms a bridge between activist members, sections and the national board. The committee will also focus on organising actions itself.
What do you do as a member of the committee?
As a member of the Demonstration Committee, you are mainly concerned with monitoring protests relevant to our organisation. You report these to the Country Board Member Activism & Campaign. Based on the LB's time/workload, they decide whether they can go. If they cannot go then as a member you can decide to inspire the Activist Network to organise
We meet about once every 3 weeks, this will be more often when a protest we organise ourselves is nearing.
In the week of an action or meeting, this function takes more time, but less in other weeks. You will spend about 2 hours in the week (excluding actions).
Who are you?
As a committee member, it is important to be able or willing to learn the following:
- Activist mindset;
- Known within activist circles;
- Communicating well;
- Working together;
- Activating others.
If you can't do this yet, it's no big deal. The important thing is that you are eager to learn. Besides, you will join a committee that likes to help each other!
Are you interested?
Then send no later than 4 augustus An e-mail with a short motivation of half an A4 and your CV to mads@dwars.org. Julian will then contact you as soon as possible after the vacancy closes. Do you still have questions? Please send an e-mail to mads@dwars.org.
