International Committee
Responsible board member: Cerisa van Kesteren, cerisa@dwars.org
The International Committee deals with topics such as human rights, European cooperation, development cooperation, economy, international trade, peace and security. Of course, there is also just a lot of fun!
Once or twice a month, we sit together to discuss these issues, draft positions and plan activities.
The committee is always open to new members. Would you like to learn more about international politics and contribute to DWARS's positions, actions, meetings and debates? Then join us at one of our meetings or drop by at one of our activities. Also keep an eye on the agenda!
Interested in dropping by sometime? Send an email to internationaal@dwars.org.
At DWARS, we have a large number of political advisers. They help the national board by providing input on political issues. They also follow the news, listen to debates and advise the board on topical issues.
In addition, the political advisers actively work with their committee. This year's political advisers are Sander and Baukje. We pull together with them on topical issues.
With this committee, we write articles for the membership magazine of DWARS AboutDWARS and for the membership magazine of the Federation of European Young Greens (FYEG) called Ecosprinter.

Europe is a right-wing continent, and it doesn't look like it's about to change soon. The European left has shrunk consistently in most countries over the last few decades. Thus, many left wing parties find themselves in need of finding allies, not just in order to govern, but merely to stay relevant. In this article we look at the example in the Netherlands.
