Healthcare is upside down. There are huge staff shortages, growing inequality of opportunity is also reflected in healthcare, and while most incomes are falling, healthcare costs are rising fast. DWARS stands for social equality and sustainable solutions, also in healthcare. The Care & Welfare Committee helps in this by formulating the DWARSe sound on these themes (and many more!).

Here's what we do

We are busy with all kinds of iniatives to increase knowledge around Care & Wellness within DWARS and beyond. We want to learn about the issues involved in these topics and explain how they can be solved. We are currently writing an article on drug policy for the paper edition of AboutDWARS for the summer conference. We have also published an article on workload and burnout, be sure to take a look! We also organised a super interesting themed evening together with Gelderland division on abortion rights with MP Corinne Ellemeet and organisation AGM as speakers. Another interesting activity we organised together with DWARS Utrecht on the problems in youth care, with Lisa Westerveld, the Utrecht alderman and the Forgotten Child as speakers.
