Huge turnout at the Climate Strike!

07 October 2019

The climate strike on 27 September in The Hague drew huge crowds. Over 35,000 (!) strikers were present to demonstrate for better climate policies. There were so many of us that the final location had to be moved from the Koekamp to the Malieveld! DWARS was also present in large numbers.

Before the strike, we first went to talk to Jesse Klaver, the party leader of GroenLinks. In a packed room, DWARSers were allowed to put all their questions to Jesse. You don't get that chance every day, so all sorts of topics came up: nuclear energy, student finance and democracy. Jesse also talked about his own time at DWARS.

Until the next climate march!
