GroenLinkseuveniles pavement chalking for change

16 February 2017

Last night, youths from DWARS, GroenLinkse chalked up youths across the Netherlands on large squares. The following text could be read everywhere: "Is Nijmegen/Amsterdam/Groningen ready? Time for change!" The young people of GroenLinks are taking action because they believe political parties think too much in the short term.

The pavement chalk campaign aims to wake up voters. "It is high time to think about the future image of the Netherlands. We really need an ambitious long-term plan now to prevent climate change. That also means thinking about the city of the future. For instance, by starting now to improve public transport. This is the time to vote for a political party that looks beyond one reign!" argues chairman Blokhuis.

Also awake with a call to think more about the future? The message can be read in the main squares of Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Groningen, Leeuwarden, Leiden, Nijmegen, Rotterdam, Tilburg and Utrecht
