DWARS wins big in municipal elections
23 March 2018In the 2018 Municipal Council elections, DWARS made an all-time high gain. 132 DWARSers across the country stood for election to the municipal council and 34 of them managed to win a council seat. This makes DWARS bigger than Denk and the Party for the Animals and as big as 50plus in number of council seats. There are also several DWARSe successors ready to move up the list.
There are DWARSers on councils in 31 municipalities in eight provinces after the elections.
But not only the elected DWARSers contribute to a great result. A count of the total number of votes cast for the 132 DWARSe candidates comes to 22,309.
