DWARS hands over Outcast Manifesto

On Tuesday 8 December, chair Sabine Scharwachter handed over the Uitgewoond manifesto to GroenLinks MP Paul Smeulders on behalf of DWARS. Uitgewoond is a broad alliance supported by the Young Socialists (PvdA), DWARS (GroenLinks), PINK! (PvdD, Opposition (DENK), Perspective (ChristenUnie), FNV Jong, CNV Jongeren and 12,300 signatories. Along with the other initiators, the manifesto was presented. The Uitgewoond manifesto writes that action must be taken after the 2021 parliamentary elections to solve the housing crisis.

We demand the following points included in the coalition agreement:

• Housing ministry's return
• Invest now in suitable, sustainable and affordable housing
• Get the market out of public housing
• Ensure mixed neighbourhoods
• Make buying or renting a choice
