It's time again for an extra congress! This year, we will hold the Intermediate Congress at March 28 in beautiful Zwolle. Then we will be guests of the Nieuwe Buitensociëteit Zwolle, Station Square 1, vlak om de hoek van station Zwolle. Dit congres zal voor het eerste deel (tot ongeveer 12.00) bestaan uit tegelijkertijd een normal DWARS-congres en een normal JS-congres, daarna is er een gezamenlijk congres van DWARS en de Jonge Socialisten. Dit congres is de ideale gelegenheid om je vrienden van DWARS en de JS bij elkaar te zien, en nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten. Ook kun je invloed uitoefenen op het reilen en zeilen van, en op de fusie tussen, de twee verenigingen. Voor het gezamenlijk congresdeel gebruiken we het gezamenlijk Congreshandboek (deze wordt binnenkort gepubliceerd), lees deze vooral even van tevoren door.

Congressional proposals

The joint congress decides on matters related to the merger process between DWARS and the Young Socialists.

Merger proposals
Various merger committees have been tasked with writing proposals. At this congress, this involves the Statutes, the Principles Manifesto, and the Divisional Boundaries. These will be discussed at

Motions
With a motion, you can call on the boards to do or not do something or speak out for or against something. Motions can be submitted to 10 March. After the deadline closes, you can submit topical motions. A topical motion is a motion on an issue that has become topical only after the close of the motion deadline. The joint congress body decides together with the presidium of the day whether the motion is topical. Motions can also be subject to amendments.

Amendments
Merger proposals and motions that have been published you can make an amendment to them. This is an amendment to the proposal. After merger proposals are published, they can be amended. This can up to 10 March. After the motions are published, amendments can also be tabled on them.

Om een motie in te dienen heb je minimaal 6 steunbetuigingen nodig. Daarvan moeten er minstens 3 lid zijn van de JS, en minstens 3 lid zijn van DWARSers. Dubbelleden tellen daarbij voor 1 vereniging naar keuze.
