Merel is a board member of Framework Guidance and Member Recruitment at DWARS. She is 23 years old and comes from Utrecht division. At DWARS, Merel gained experience at the board of ward Utrecht, Education Committee and Demonstration Committee. After completing the bachelor's degree in History, she is now doing the master's in Education & Communication at the UvA, aiming to become a history teacher.
From Membership Recruitment, Merel deals with DWARS's expressions on social media, for example. She hopes to ensure that DWARS stands out online; thinking about how DWARS recruits more new members also falls under this portfolio. As board member of Cadet Guidance, she is responsible for guiding everyone with a position at DWARS, for example by making sure they receive enough training sessions and have fun!
