Time for a new board!

Over the past year, we had the opportunity to organise many great activities; such as a vegetarian dinner, political werewolves and lots of fun get-togethers 😉

We also worked to support our Brabant DWARSERs in their local council campaign and our Brabant chairman Tim even got to sit on the Helmond city council!

It was a good year, but it is time to pass the baton for the coming year. That is why we will gather for the AAV on 8 June and elect a new board. Be sure to come along for co-sponsorship and to netwire with drinks!

Then send an email with your motivation to brabant@dwars.org and apply for one of the following vacancies:

President
The chairman is the face of the organisation to the outside world. The chairman leads the board meetings and is responsible for relations within the board. The chairman takes care of contacts with other organisations, including contacts with PJOs.

Secretary
The secretary is usually responsible for taking minutes at the board meeting, contacting new members, writing the newsletter, answering emails, managing the app group and sending press releases.

Treasurer
As treasurer, you keep track of the department's finances. You ensure that the budgets we have for the activities are clear in advance and that the activities fall within these budgets at all times. So plan carefully when you spend what. As treasurer, you are the main person responsible for making these decisions. Since 2018, there has been a digital system to manage finances. You are obliged to keep good records of these and when the treasury committee is in place, you can also use your own account for payments and declarations.

Media, PR and campaign
As a board member of media, PR and campaign, you will be responsible for maintaining the social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) and the DWARS Brabant website. You will also take care of promoting and reporting on DWARS Brabant's events. During campaign time, you are also the link between DWARS nationally and the GroenLinks Brabant chapters. You will support DWARSe candidates in their personal campaign and provide them with campaign materials. You will also be part of the national campaign network, which also devises ways to make the DWARSe sound heard outside campaign time.

Finance Committee
From the upcoming administrative year, departments will also start working with a treasury committee. In principle, this committee will check every two years whether the financial book is in order. We are looking for three members for the audit committee. PLEASE NOTE: As a treasury committee, you are not part of the board, but you act as a supervisor with regard to the finances.
