On Sunday 22 November, DWARS Brabant-Zeeland organised its semi-annual departmental congress (AAV). At the congress, among other things, the board accounted for the past six months, the budget for the coming year was approved and Laura Adriaansen was elected a permanent member of the Audit Committee.
At the conference, we continued to listen to two interesting speakers. Jacqueline de Visser told us about her position as director of Vluchtelingenwerk Zuid-Nederland and the problems she faces in her work due to the current refugee policy of the government. Next, Hagar Roijackers (parliamentary group chairwoman of the Provincial Council group GroenLinks North Brabant) told us about her political career and about her place on the candidate list for the Lower House elections.
The board thanks our chairman of the day, Lotte Meerhoff, our note taker Douwe Kuipers, the vote counting committee (Janno and Brechje) and everyone who attended the congress. Thank you for making it a successful day together. Your efforts, criticism and input have made us enthusiastic for the next six months!
